The Perfect Poached Egg

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 3 minutes

You will need:
1 egg
1 tsp of oil
Cling film
A Bowl
A Saucepan

1. Stick the kettle on. You will need enough to fill a saucepan and cover your egg
2. Place cling film over your bowl, rip a long thin strip off separately to use as a tie later
3. Rub the oil onto the cling film, this will stop your egg sticking to it afterwards
4. Crack the egg onto the cling film, make sure the film isn't completely taut so the egg falls into the dip
5. Take the edges of the cling film and pull them together so your egg is encased
6. Use the long strip of cling film to tie a knot around your egg so make sure it doesn't leak
7. Put the water into the saucepan and make sure it is boiling again before placing your egg in. It should take 3-4 minutes to cook, but because the cling film is clear you can keep an eye on it anyway
8. After it's done, use scissors to cut under the knot (it's easier than trying to undo it) and then peel the cling film off et voila, the perfect poached egg every time.

Thanks to Rob for this .)
